Hayden Hawke’s Secret Gold Guide – Cons

Overall, I think the Hayden Hawke Secret Gold Guide is a superb gold guide because it has thought me how to earn thousands of gold in WoW. It has also helped out my guildies, so I would personally recommend the Hayden Hawke Secret Gold Guide. The customer service and updates are also great. So, you have nothing to worry about when the Cataclysm explosion comes along.

I can’t personally recommend the WoW Schools Gold Guide because I haven’t used that gold guide before. WoW Schools is costs around the same price as the Hayden Hawke Gold Guide (but the price of these guides change sometimes).

Alright…. My bud Max says that WoW Schools the Best gold guide out there and he swears by it. He thinks that the Hayden Hawke Gold Guide is for noobs. (I obviously beg to defer). WoW Schools (to Max) is the best gold guide because it will teach you to reach the World of Warcraft Gold Cap of 1 million gold.

So I’ve checked out the WoW Schools webpage and it seems that .. for $37, you will get these freebies plus an awesome gold guide too:-

I must admit, the freebies look tempting. I haven’t reached the gold cap with Hayden Hawke’s Gold Guide, but I have thousands more gold than I actually need (heaps of it, even after buying 2 epic mounts) .. so, I won’t be buying WoW Schools anytime soon.

In case you’re curious, I think this WoW Schools is the second best gold guide out there, but I can’t say for sure. I would still vouch for the Hayden Hawke guide.

The reason why I brought up leveling in my blog is, our guilds are always looking for more high level players for end game raids. One of my guild veteran players who was known as the speed leveler, let me in on his little dirty secret.

He could level up his new characters from 1 to 80 in less than 2 weeks, which was pretty unbelievable. He used Zygor’s Leveling Guide to achieve this. So, instead of painfully questing 1 level per day, he could go the fastest way to the top with a sweet in-game addon. With this guide, he could cut through approximately 2 levels per 4 hours of play time.

I couldn’t resist, so I bought the guide too.

One of my favorite tips for leveling that I learned immediately is “Damage rocks!”. When you’re leveling up a character, make sure that your talents are focused on causing the highest amount of damage. Your gear should complement your character too. Stamina is always a great one to have for gear (to keep you alive). If you’re a caster, get lots of Intellect, Stamina and Spirit for gear. For melee attackers, get Stamina, Strength and Agility. At the end of the day, if your Damage output is at its highest, you will get to blaze through your quests much faster.

If you’re like me, and have a day job, this leveling guide will count as a blessing. You see, with quick leveling, you’ll get to experience the WoW universe at a much faster rate. You don’t have to suffer for hours from running quests that simply won’t yield you the maximum experience points you can get. The Zygor guide will also take you on the fastest questing routes. You won’t run into any quests that will be too hard for your character too. Running into a quest that is too hard will get you killed in seconds and running quests that are too easy will yield you very little (or even zero) experience points.

The Zygor Leveling Guide will take you on your optimal leveling route which will give you the highest survivability, in the shortest amount of time, with the highest experience points. You will never have to wander around (kinda lost) again, wondering which quest to do next. It’s a time and life saver, so to speak … and I like this guide very much.

In WoW, every character that you roll will be able to pick up 2 professions. So, take up 2 gathering professions. Here are the gathering professions you can choose from:-

1. Herbalism
2. Mining
3. Skinning

You can make a decent amount of gold with these professions as the materials you get will be used by production professions like Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Jewelcrafting, Inscription, Tailoring and Leatherworking. Some high level players who have surplus gold may opt not to farm for materials such as herbs, ore or leather and buy them on the AH instead.

At first, your low level ores, herbs and leather skins will fetch a few silvers, but as you level up your gathering professions, you will see more gold flowing in. Skinning and Herbalism are the 2 easiest professions as you do not have to venture far from your questing routes to get them. For ore, you may have to venture out of your quest zones (towards the mountain areas or mines) to harvest from the mining nodes you find there.

Sell your materials in the Auction House (AH) and keep track of the prices. If they are selling for cheaper than usual, do hold back 2-3 days. You’ll be able to fetch a good price after that. I’ve also noticed that these materials will also sell for much cheaper during the week days and slightly higher on the weekends. It depends on the supply and demand of your server.

Another good tip is to not sell your materials for the cheapest price on the AH. Chances are, even if you offer it for the 3rd – 5th cheapest buyout price on the AH, your items will go. This is because there should be alot of buyers for your materials on the AH. Try it out for yourself and see. You could make a higher margin out of everything you try to sell.

Next, while questing, lots of items will drop. Each item name will have a color code. Sell your gray colored items to a vendor right away. White named items are considered materials that crafting professions use. The most valuable whites you will get are cloth. Linen, wool, silk, mageweave cloth, etc .. usually sell well on the AH. Cloth is used by Tailors and First Aiders. Green and Blue gear and weapons are also very valuable. Green and Blue items are usually picked up by Enchanters for a good amount of gold, if they’re not bought by other players as gear.

That’s it. You have the most basic, yet effective gold techniques to earn you some gold on a daily basis. For more advance strategies to earning lots more gold, in less time, Hayden Hawke’s Secret Gold Guide is the way to go.

Personally, I find healing the most difficult job in WoW because it such a thankless job. Lol .. while the tank gets all the glory or insults, a healer is just mostly cursed or ignored. I predominantly like to roll will Horde characters (just look at my blog theme!) and am looking forward to the new upcoming Goblin race in the Cataclysm expansion … but the new Worgen race looks simply awesome, don’t you think? .. but I digress. I created this blog as many of the new members of my guilds have been asking me for some gold making tips. Lol. Actually, I find it wonderful that WoW still attracts a good number of new players every year. It keeps the scene fresh!

Ok, so back to the topic of GOLD. When I first started playing WoW, my major worry was gold gold gold. I needed gold to level up my skills, upgrade my gear, repair my gear, get dual speck talents and purchase a spanking awesome epic flying mount! I tried some free gold making tips that I discovered on the internet that worked, but only for a while for tiny amounts of gold. I will share these tips in a later post, I promise.

The thing was … I knew that there had to be an easier way to make gold. A faster better way. So, I bought the Hayden Hawke Secret Gold Guide because I wanted thousands of gold! I didn’t want to have to make and save gold like a madman for 10 whole months, while I grinded out stuff to be sold in the Auction House (AH) to get my first epic mount.

After I bought the Secret Gold Guide, I read it from cover to cover. I was shocked! What I learned truly amazed me. Some of the strategies are so brilliant, I can’t stress how much the Hayden Hawke’s Secret Gold Guide has changed my game. I can now invest in a new set of epic gear if it fancies me or buy a giant mammoth epic mount if I am feel like up-sizing. I can roll a new alternate character and set her up with 50,000g at the get go. Imagine how easy it is to have new characters leveling with the best gear, buffs, elixirs and scrolls available every time?  It’s sweet!

So, here you go. Go Buy Hayden Hawke’s Secret Gold Guide. I recommend it. It is a superb investment if you’re serious about playing WoW.
